Manikarnika Box Office: Kangana Ranaut starrer records a fantastic opening weekend, mints Rs 42.55 crore in 3 days

Kangana Ranaut's latest offering Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has managed to cross the Rs 40 crore mark in just three days of its release. The film has raked in a total of Rs 18.10 crore on day three of its release, thereby taking the overall box office collections of the film in the opening weekend to Rs 42.55 crore. 

Manikarnika marked an opening day collections of Rs 8.75 crore, which maked is Kangana Ranaut's highest opener so far. The Republic Day holiday proved further fruitful for the film as its collections jumped to Rs 18.10 crore on day two.

Friday: Rs 8.75 crore
Saturday: Rs 18.10 crore
Sunday: Rs 15.70 crore

Total: Rs 42.55 crore

Manikarnika, which also marks the directorial debut of Kangana, has been riding high on an extremely positive word of mouth. The film has been generally appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. 

Popular Television actress Ankita Lokhande makes her Bollywood debut with the film. She is seen playing the character of Jhalkari Bai. Manikarnika also stars an ensemble cast of Danny Denzongpa, Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi and Zeeshan Ayyub among others. 

After putting up a fantastastic opening weekend collection, it'll be interesting to see how the film fares on the weekdays. The litmus test will be on Monday itself. Watch this space...
