Birthday special: When Riteish Deshmukh dished out details of his first date with Genelia D'Souza

Riteish Deshmukh celebrates his birthday on December 17, and this year he has turned 42. The actor has been a part of the film industry for nearly two decades now. In this long career, Riteish has been a part of several hit comedy flicks and he has also left an impressive mark as the main antagonist in Ek Villain. Apart from his prolific career in movies, Riteish is also loved for his love for wife and actor Genelia Deshmukh.

The couple started off their movie career with Tujhe Meri Kasam released in the year 2003. The movie also brought Riteish and Genelia together as a couple. They are touted to be among the cutest duos we have in the movie industry. After a courtship of nearly a decade, Riteish and Genelia entered marital bliss in 2012. The couple is blessed with two sons - Riaan and Rahyl. 

Now, we came across a tweet of Riteish from 2019, wherein he disclosed the first date he had with Genelia. The actor revealed that it was a movie date where they went to watch Karan Johar directorial Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He also wrote that 'Suraj Hua Maddham' picturised on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were their relationship song.

Riteish's tweet read as "Our first date: took @geneliad to watch #KabhiKhushiKabhieGham - #SurajHuaMaddham was our relationship song."

Talking about the initial days of his career, Riteish had said, "I started dating Genelia when she was 18 years old and I have seen how hard she has worked. When we did our first film, she would shoot in the morning in Hyderabad, fly back to Mumbai, appear for her college exams and come back to the set."
