Leaked: Vivo X21 specs surface online ahead of launch; listed on JD.com for pre-order

Vivo’s upcoming X21 smartphone will launch in China on March 19. Screenshots of a document were posted online and they reveal details of Vivo’s upcoming flagship. The leak confirmed that the company will launch two variants of the device - Vivo X21 and Vivo X21 UD.

Just a day before the launch, e-commerce retail Jingdong has listed the smartphone for those who wish to pre-order.

According to leaks, the Vivo X21 will sport a 6.28-inch display FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It will be powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with 6GB RAM. It will include an internal storage of 128GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

Running Android 8.1 Oreo, it will include connectivity features such Bluetooth 5.0, dual band WiFi, USB 2.0, OTG, GPS and the face unlock option. It will be backed up by a 3200mAh battery.

The Vivo X21 UD will be available in Ice Drill Black and Ruby Red, while the X21 will come in the aforementioned colors in addition to Aurora White.

Oppo is gearing up to launch two variants of the Oppo R15 smartphone soon. An official poster has been released on Weibo which states that the Oppo R15 duo (Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition) will launch on March 31. The company also revealed that this will be the world’s first smartphone to use Sony’s latest flagship image sensor of IMX519.

According to the poster, the Oppo R15 launch will be televised on Zhejiang Satellite TV. In a separate poster, the company also revealed that Chinese actor, Zhang Yishan will serve as brand ambassador for the new devices.

Last month, a leaked image of the Oppo R15 was spotted on Chinese website Weibo, which offered a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone. Based on the leak, the new smartphone by Oppo looks very similar to Apple’s iPhone X. The handset has been leaked in three color variants namely Black, Pink, and Purple.
