Popular messaging application WhatsApp has brought in a new feature for the users to have a good shopping experience. The 'Add to Cart' feature makes it easier for the users to browse the products and services offered by businesses on the platform and place their orders.

Through the introduction of the 'Add to Cart' button, WhatsApp is branching out for a seamless shopping experience, where the users can look for products, add them to carts, place their orders, and pay for them easily.

"We’re excited to bring carts to WhatsApp. Carts are great when messaging businesses that typically sell multiple items at once, like a local restaurant or clothing store. With carts, people can browse a catalogue, select multiple products, and send the order as one message to the business," WhatsApp said about this new exciting option.

The new 'Add to Cart' button is available through the latest update of WhatsApp. The users can see the button while looking through the catalogues provided by any business account on WhatsApp.

The users can add various products from the merchant to their cart through the 'Add to Cart' button, share it with the seller, and place their orders.

Like any other shopping website or app, the users can add or remove one or more items from their carts. Through a dedicated icon for carts, the shoppers can look at all that they been added in their carts.

After the items are added in the cart, the users can share them in a single message with the seller who handles the WhatsApp Business account, who would in turn reply to confirm the order. The payments can be made using WhatsApp Pay and the delivery process initiated following that.

The carts would also help businesses keep a track record of inquiries and manage order requests.

"This will make it simpler for businesses to keep track of order inquiries, manage requests from customers, and close sales," WhatsApp said.

The new 'Add to Cart' feature is available for WhatsApp users all over the world.
