Even though Sachin Tendulkar is regarded as the God of cricket by millions in India, there are many for whom he isn't the greatest Test batsmen the country has ever produced. That honour is reserved for the great Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid.

Gavaskar will forever be revered for having a stellar record against a menacing West Indian attack, that too without wearing a helmet, and at a time when the Indian team was no force to reckon with. Dravid, too, holds a special place in fans' hearts for the innumerable number of times he guided India to victory in whites, and moulded himself into 'The Wall' they needed.

Now, even though there could be merit in the fact that these two stalwarts have left a stronger legacy than Sachin in the longest format of the game, there's absolutely no room for a debate when it comes to One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

Sachin bore the hopes of a nation almost through the entirety of his career in limited-overs cricket. It's no secret that many would switch off their television sets if the Bombay Bomber would get out. Sachin was the be-all and end-all in the Indian batting line-up. The one batsman who fans had complete faith in.

And a testament to the Master Blaster's supremacy in ODIs is his epic double-century against South Africa on this same day in 2010. On a historic day in Gwaliior, Sachin did what no man had ever done - score 200 runs inside 50 overs.

Exactly seven years after, here's a re-look at that groundbreaking knock by the little genius.
