It goes without saying that a piece of jewellery can make or break an outfit. And when it’s the most important day of your life, you can’t risk ruining your precious wedding dress with a gauche accessorising faux pas. A pair of statement earrings can infuse a new lease life of life into a demure wedding dress. An ornate choker can inject gravitas into a wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. That’s the transformative power of styling! Choosing a bridal accessory which complements your bridal trousseau is like finding the right kind of lighting to illuminate your living room. Hence we got three jewellery designers to pair their chicest creations with Spring Summer’s newest bridal offerings...

Mrinalini x Reem Acra

Fun bride

Our coral hibiscus flower jewellery infuses a hint of brightness to the look. Isn’t that what spring is about? These pieces give the serenity of whites a little escape and an element of fun to it we wanted to go in that direction.”

Floral fantasy

Our enamel line of flower bridal jewellery titled, ‘Valley des fluer’ is quite in sync with Reem Acra’s pristine floral aesthetic. Our white jasmine tassel necklace complements the necklines of both the outfits. Jasmine has an enduring quality as a flower and we have tried to bring out the same in our jewellery inspired by it.”

Valliyan by Nitya Arora x Lela Rose

Glamazon bride

“The statement necklace goes well with the three-tiered frill dress. The dress has a deep V neck and it seems more casual so the necklace will elevate the outfit. The gunmetal lace like metal cutwork with the pastel and iridescent Swarovski and pearls corresponds to the texture of the outfit.”

Bold bride

“My structured straight-lined statement earrings called ‘Door to Heaven’ complement this dress with a strapless structured bow. They are encrusted with Swarovski crystals and hand-cut white stones, which don’t make the look overpowering.”

Varuna D Jani x Jenny Packham

Playful bride

“I wanted to give her something playful which adds a sliver of dynamism. Therefore, the Pigeon red rubies and solitaire setting encrusted in 18-carat white gold and the showstopper ring which stunningly accents the sensuous outfit. If you look at the model’s face, she has a bit of baby charm so I wanted to add some structure to her face and amp up the glam quotient. Also, the white gold complements her skin tone and the silver hue of the gown.”

Princess vibe

“She’s delicate yet has a regal appeal so I wanted to give her sophisticated and heritage pieces, which bring attention to her collar bones and emphasise her slender neck. The lattice design beautifully complements the outfit. Also, she has a sun-kissed skin and the South Sea pearls radiate luminosity. The floral rings accentuate the child-like quality in her.”
