The Gujarat MLA came down heavily on Centre and Rajasthan governments for suppressing the people from backward communities.
With a note of warning to Narendra Modi led BJP government in Centre and Vasundhra Raje led government in Rajasthan, Jignesh Mevani, the MLA from Vadgam Assembly constituency of Gujarat concluded his two day tour to Hadouti region on Wednesday.
With an aim to form team Rajasthan, Mevani was on two-day tour to Hadouti where he held meetings with activists of Ambedkar Kalyan Samiti, schedule caste and schedule tribe forums in Bundi city, Borekheda, Siswali, Etawa, Anta and Baran areas of Hadouti and delivered message of awareness among backward communities.
Terming PM Narendra Modi a jumlebaaz for not fulfilling the promises that he made to win election to come to power in Centre, Mevani said, “PM Modi and the governments are not afraid of MLA Jignesh Mevani but agitator Jignesh Mevani.” He added that the PM is under immense pressure over Rajasthan as he apparently foresees his party’s defeat in the state. Modi is holding meetings in Delhi to control the situation in Rajasthan and to avoid visible defeat of his party and that is the reason he is recommending state Assembly and parliamentary elections to be held simultaneously.
The Gujarat MLA came down heavily on Centre and Rajasthan governments for suppressing the people from backward communities. “No action is taken against those who walk with ‘Trishul’ and sword in the country but the people who speak the name of Baba Saheb are repressed,” Mevani said.
Mevani asked activists to contest election as Independents and to work to build a nation based on Constitution, values of secularism, socialism and democracy. “It has been proved over the years that every political party in the country needs us and the doors of every political party is open for us,” he claimed.
