The Congress has been gearing up for the parliamentary elections ever since it swept to power in state again.

PCC chief and deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot attended the coordination committee meeting headed by senior Congress leader AK Antony in New Delhi where elaborate discussions were held on party strategy for the upcoming polls in state. 

Chief minister Ashok Gehlot also left for the national capital to attend a meeting scheduled to be chaired by Union minister for road surface and transport Nitin Gadkari on Friday.

In the coordination committee meeting, Pilot discussed the party strategy on the parliamentary elections due in April-May. “He shared the blueprint of the election giving detailed suggestions on how make the party victorious in all 25 seats of the desert state. 

Rajasthan in charge and AICC general secretary, Avinash Pande, who was also present in the meeting, said that the meeting discussed the organizational expansion in wake the Lok Sabha elections.

“It was basically an organizational review meeting. It was aimed at discussing organizational expansion programme in a time-bound manner for upcoming parliamentary elections. On expansion of the organization the directives were issued,” said Pande. As the Rajasthan incharge, Pandey played a significant role in planning the poll campaign in state assembly elections. His organizational skills helped revive the Congress and made it register victory in the desert state. 

His second task is for the party to deliver its best in the Loksabha election. The party has set a target of winning all 25 seats in the state. A senior party leader added that the meeting also discussed the panels of candidates. “If panels on seats are ready then it could be discussed by January 25,” he said.

Organisational Expansion On Cards

Rajasthan in charge and AICC general secretary, Avinash Pande, who was also present in the meeting, said that the meeting discussed the organizational expansion in wake the Loksabha elections. On expansion of the organization directives were issued, Pandey said after the meeting held in New Delhi on Thursday.
