First official trailer for 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' sells dark fairytale

It was all about going big at the San Diego Comic Con on Saturday and Warner Bros delivered with the release of first ever trailer for the new version of monster movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler make the family, the emotional connect at the centre of this massive monsterverse movie that will, later on, tie up with the massive dud of King Kong.

In the bid to make all the monsters more likeable the latest trailer for Godzilla treats them as the only saviour for this dying planet. Farmiga plays Dr Emma Russell who believes that these monsters, or as she brands them -- Titans -- will save the world from itself. Her kid Madison -- Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things -- oscillates between loving her mother's outrageous idea and siding with her father's -- Kyle Chandler as Mark Russell -- logic.

Monarch Sciences, the organisation that follows the activities of these monsters is the key that connects King Kong and Godzilla.

Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah are the other monsters we see in the trailer. But director Michael Doughtery told the fans at Hall H that there are more surprises packed in the movie.
