Every week there are new speculations regarding MS Dhoni's future, however, this time there may be something factual.

Ever since India's semi-final exit from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against New Zealand in August, MSD made himself unavailable for selection. During his break from cricket, the 38-year-old also served for the Indian Army too.

After being absent from the Indian squad which took on West Indies and South Africa in the past months, Dhoni also backed out from the Bangladesh series as well.

Earlier last month, reports also broke that the former Team India skipper will not be selected in the national squad ever again. However, the selection committee will only give him a chance to return for a farewell series.

As soon as a video clip of MSD all padded up and taking on young bowlers in a net session hit the web, new speculations of him making a possible comeback into the national side for India's series against West Indies started going around.

The 38-year-old was at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium for the net session.

He has been spotted there earlier as well, playing Tennis in a local tournament at the same venue.

However, A BCCI official on Friday, November 15, confirmed that “He isn’t available for the West Indies series” according to PTI reports.

Newly appointed BCCI president Sourav Ganguly also spoke about the former Indian captain's future and all the speculations over his future when he took his charge last month.

Even though Ganguly refused to make any comments on the speculations but did say that it's totally up to MSD to decide whether he wants to continue or not.

"It depends on him. Even when I was left out, the entire world said that he will never make it. I believed in myself and played for four years. Champions don't finish very quickly," the BCCI President said.
