'What upset me was seeing some of our own speak against industry': Did Sonu Sood take indirect dig at Kangana Ranaut?

Bollywood celebrities, in 2020, in several instances, came together to fight against the issues during the coronavirus pandemic. One of the celebrities who was lauded by people and his colleagues during this time was Sonu Sood. Now during a recent interaction, the actor spoke at length about the preaches of the film industry about unity. He also shared his disappointment over the fact that a few members of the film fraternity questioned it.

Sonu told Bollywood Hungama during a video interview, "Of course I was bothered, but what really upset me was seeing some of our own people speak against the industry. This is that industry for which he leaves our homes and families. It is an industry that fulfils dreams. And now, to see people point fingers at it, you can imagine how it must have affected us."

He added, "We all like to think we’re one big family, but the chains that can bind us are missing. People align themselves with others, no one reaches out to praise you or to offer advice. Everyone is constrained. They say they are a part of Bollywood, but they’ve created barriers around themselves."

Sonu went on to say, "We should all learn from this. In this industry, people value success, but no one offers support when you fail."

This made people think that Sonu is indirectly talking about Kangana Ranaut, who constantly questioned the film industry and kept on talking about 'exposing' a few celebs.

Earlier, Sonu and Kangana were supposed to walk together in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. However, Sood walked out of the film eventually.
