Woman raped and murdered in Ahmedabad

Seema Shah (name changed), a resident of Maninagar Railway Colony, Khokhra was found dead at her residence on Wednesday morning. Her body was lying on the floor of the house, naked. Khokhra police have filed a case of rape and murder in the matter.
Shah’s neighbours, on Wednesday morning, noticed her body through the open door of her house. They subsequently informed her nephew Sagar.

Sagar immediately called 108 ambulance services but they declared the woman dead upon their arrival.

Primary investigations in the matter revealed that the crime had taken place between 10pm Tuesday and 10am Wednesday. Marks on the neck and hands of the body indicated a struggle before the death. A condom was also found from the scene of the crime, which led Khokhra police to register a rape and murder complaint in the matter.

The entire house was in a mess, which cops believe was done purposely to give an air of loot attempt to the crime.

According to Shah’s neighbours, she used to live alone in the house after the death of her brother and sister-in-law. Eleven years ago, she married one Naresh but later divorced him. Naresh currently lives in Saraspur area. Mahemdabad resident Pinakin was her second husband who died of cancer 3 months ago.
