NEET counselling in Tamil Nadu is being done online for the year 2021. Tamil Nadu NEET counselling is overseen by the Selection Committee of the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) in Chennai. Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu NEET 2021 Counselling

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2021 is also open to Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who are enrolled under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act. OCI applicants, on the other hand, shall be classified as General candidates and will not be eligible for any other type of reservation.
  • Candidates must meet the requirements for NEET 2021.
  • They must be Tamil Nadu natives.

A candidate who has completed Class 6 to Class 12 in another state but is a Tamil Nadu native must present the following documents from their parents:

  • Ration card and birth certificate
  • Degree/ diploma/ professional course/ no graduation certificate/ school leaving certificate/ Class 10 passing certificate/ Class 12 passing certificate

NEET 2021 Counseling Process in Tamil Nadu

Registration would be the first step in the admissions process for medical and dental institutes in Tamil Nadu. During the selection process, the fee structure of the college to which an applicant wishes to apply is critical. The Fee Committee of the Government of Tamil Nadu will set the fee structure for self-financing medical and dental institutes. The tuition cost for the selected students shall be paid by demand draft payable in Chennai in favour of "The Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai-10."
