Days after resigning from Punjab Chief Minister's post, Captain Amarinder Singh has started showing his rebellious tone. The former CM announced that he would field his candidate against Congress state president Navjot Singh Sidhu in the upcoming assembly elections. He said that Sidhu will not be allowed to become the Chief Minister under any circumstances as he is a big threat to the country.

Captain Amarinder Singh said that Sidhu is not only a threat to Punjab but the entire country. He disclosed that he wanted to leave the chief minister's chair three weeks ago, but Congress President Sonia Gandhi did not let him do so. Taking a jibe at Sidhu's interference in the Charanjit Singh Channi-led government, the Singh said that he has become the Super CM. Along with this, he has also targeted KC Venugopal, Ajay Maken and Surjewala.

Amarinder Singh targeted not only Sidhu but also the newly appointed Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Channi. He said that Channi has no experience in handling the Home Department, which is quite worrying as Punjab shares a 600-km border with neighbouring Pakistan. The situation is getting serious for the last few years, he said.

At the same time, he described Sidhu as 'dramebaaz' and said that Rahul-Priyanka are not yet experienced and they are being misled by the advisors.

Expressing his strength, Amarinder said that I am a soldier and I know how to work. He said that he has reached the Legislative Assembly seven times and Parliament twice, so there must be some good. Questioning the decision of the high command, Amarinder said that in our religion, everyone is seen with an equal eye and one should not judge by looking at his caste, but should see his ability. His gesture was towards the first CM of Punjab, Charanjit Channi.
