On Friday, in an exclusive interview with Zee News editor-in-chief Sudhir Chaudhary, BJP President Amit Shah spoke about a host of topics including the question of what’d happen if the BJP fell short of a majority.

When questioned what’d happen if BJP fell short of the majority, Amit Shah dismissed the suggestion that BJP would fall short.

He said: “Question doesn't arise. There's no chance. I refuse to believe that we will get less votes than the Mahagatbandhan. I am definitely sure we will get majority.”

When questioned about Rahul Gandhi’s claims that Modi government ‘panicked’ by removing Alok Verma because he was going to file an FIR in Rafale deal Shah said that perhaps Gandhi needed a little ‘training’ to come up with accusations. He said: “I don't care who makes Rahul Gandhi's accusations, pretty sure he doesn't do it himself. If he told me, I'd train him a little.”

Clarifying that 'Ram Janmbhoomi' issue was a part of BJP manifesto, Shah clarified that there is no deviation from the issue but for now, there is no ordinance on the construction of Ram Temple.

Targetting the Congress party, Shah accused Kapil Sibal of elongating the issue of Ram Mandir. Kapil Sibal said in court that Ram temple issue must be decided after Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, it is clear that it is the Congress party that wants the hearing in Ram temple case to be deferred, Shah added.

Assuring that Ram Temple would definitely be constructed, Shah said that not just one brick, but the whole temple will be built.

"Ek inth nahi, poora mandir banayenge," Shah said in the interview with Zee News. We will solve the Ram Mandir issue as per provisions of the Constitution. If the Supreme Court has decided to hear the case in January, there is no need for an ordinance on Ram temple as of now, he added.

On  attempts at an alliance between NC-PDP-Cong in Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah said all of it was just speculation and no letter reached the Governor.

Speaking about BJP’s chances in Rajasthan, he said that it would form the government comfortably. Dismissing any speculation of a rift,  within the BJP he said: “We have no high command. All party workers together decide things. Congress has a high command. I have a great relationship with Vasundhara Raje. Party doesn’t win due to one person. Vasundhara is working very hard. I am confident we are coming back in Rajasthan.”
