CBSE Board Exam 2019 starts February 15: Question paper pattern to things allowed inside- all you need to know

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2019 would begin from tomorrow and will conclude on April 3. Around 12.87 lakh students have enrolled for the CBSE 12th Board Examinations 2019.

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2019 would begin from tomorrow and will conclude on April 3. Around 12.87 lakh students have enrolled for the CBSE 12th Board Examinations 2019. 

The examinations for the vocational subjects would begin from tomorrow and the main examinations would begin from March 2, 2019. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Chief advised students to "firewall" all distractions for the time being and let fun and games go to the random access memory', while stressing that exams should not be a measure of one's success or failure.

The Class 10 exams will begin on February 21 and end on March 29. 

The total number of students registered for class 10 and class 12 board examination is 31, 14, 281 candidates which incudes 28 transgender. 

As per the reports, there is change of question paper pattern this year for both class 10th and 12 board exams. The board has increased objective type questions in the papers this year. Also, the number of options would also be higher.

A report said that in 2019 board exams, around 25 per cent questions will be objective type. In previous board exams, up to 10% of the questions were objective type.

More objective type questions would help students score better. Also, this year, students would have  33 per cent more question options to choose from.

As per the statement released by CBSE, the Board exams will be held in 4,974 centres across India and 78 centres abroad.


CBSE Board Exams 2019: Things allowed inside the examination centres

Students are allowed to carry basic stationary products including pens, pencil etc. Only transparent pencil box or pouch are allowed. 

Diabetic students are allowed to carry a snack in clean wrap to the examination hall.

Transparent water bottles are allowed inside the examination hall.

CBSE Admit Card and School ID card is mandatory and must be carried to the examination hall. Please note, no students would be allowed entry to the exam hall without CBSE Admit Card and School ID card.

From this time school uniform is mandatory and there are no exemptions to this rule.
