MS Dhoni is known for his quick stumpings from behind the wicket. His glovework has been compared with 'lightning strikes' many times. Well, lightning almost struck Feroz Shah Kotla during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals.
During the Delhi Capitals innings, MS Dhoni nearly got Shreyas Iyer out with a quick stumping. Ravindra Jadeja beat Iyer with flight as the ball spun and missed the outside edge. Iyer's foot was behind the wicket but left the ground for the shortest of times.
Dhoni was quick as ever as he took the bails off. The leg umpire went upstairs to get a proper look at things. However, the decision did not come in Dhoni's favour as Iyer's foot was back on ground when the bails were taken off.
