UPSC Civil Services Examination 2018: Cut off date, upper age limit for UPSC CSE set by Centre, details inside

The upper age limit for appearing for UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 has been set at 32 years, the Centre said.

"The upper age limit as on 01.08.2018 for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 is 32 years. This upper-age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates," Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said in Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

"As per the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) on crucial date for determining age limits for competitive examination conducted in parts by the UPSC/SSC vide OM No. AB.14017/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14th JULY, 1988, the cut-off date for Civil Services Examination is decided," Singh added.
Singh also said that the age limit is applicable to all candidates and so there is no question of being unfair to any applicants.

On July 15, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)  declared the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Results 2018. It was declared on official website upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in. The Union Public Service Commission had conducted the UPSC Civil Service Prelims 2018 on June 3. 

The candidates who have qualified will have to submit the DAF (CSM) online on the official website. 
The UPSC exam 2018 was organised in two parts - Paper-I in the morning and Paper-II in the afternoon. Aspirants need 33 per cent score in Paper II of UPSC Prelims 2018 in order to qualify for UPSC Main Exam 2018.

Candidates who have appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam will have to visit the official website upsc.gov.in from time to time for any other updates.

The civil services examination is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages - preliminary, main and interview - to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
