Rishabh Pant, who is known for his antics on the field, did something similar on Tuesday in the Delhi Capitals' game against Kolkata Knight Riders as he almost hit wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik with his bat as the latter had to duck during Match No 41 of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The incident took place on the first ball of the 17th over of Delhi's batting innings bowled by Varun Chakravarthy where Rishabh Pant trying to hit the ball outside the off-stump but got an inside edge as it bounced once near the stumps. Since it bounced a little high, Pant tried to swipe it across near the stumps and since Karthik was up, Pant's bat almost hit him on the helmet.

Pant later just checked on Karthik and then both had a laugh but if it had hit him, it could have been a little dangerous for the KKR wicket-keeper.

Pant, who was the joint highest run-getter for the team during the innings scoring 39 runs struggled to get going throughout his knock as the Capitals could score only 127 runs on a slow Sharjah track, which eventually didn't prove to be enough as KKR chased ot down with three wickets remaining and DC suffered their third loss of the competition.

The fans couldn't resist reacting to Pant's act as fans suggested Pant was looking to hit everything out of the ground including Karthik's head. Here are some of the reactions:
