A few days back, several reports claiming that Shah Rukh Khan starrer Saare Jahaan Se Accha, the biopic on Rakesh Sharma biopic, will go on floors this year started doing the rounds but there was no buzz on who will be the lead actress in the highly anticipated film. Now, rumour has it that Aamir Khan’s co-actress from Dangal and Thugs Of Hindostan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, might be in consideration for the role.
A report published by Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, “The makers are still on a hunt for the leading lady. Fatima Sana Shaikh too is being considered for the role. They seem to be quite impressed with her performances and she is one of the leading contenders for it.”
For the uninitiated, Aamir Khan was previously supposed to sign the dotted line for the film, but since he wanted to focus on another project, he passed on this one to his dear friend Shah Rukh Khan. While Aamir Khan was still associated with the project, reports were rife that Priyanka Chopra would be seen as the leading lady in the film but her name was dropped down as soon as Shah Rukh Khan came on-board for the film.
If Fatima Sana Shaikh comes on board, her dream of working with the superstar would come true. She had recently confessed her love for Shah Rukh Khan and it would be a great opportunity for her to be working with another Khan after Aamir in her third film.
Shah Rukh Khan’s last release Zero, co-starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, directed by Aanand L Rai, could not make a mark at the Box Office, and neither did Fatima starrer Thugs Of Hindostan.
