The stakes just got higher.

The Sweden versus England match in FIFA World Cup 2018 quarterfinal match will now not only determine who gets into the semifinals but will also decide a wager between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Beckham.

Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and England's David Beckham may not be playing in FIFA World Cup 2018 but they have a lot riding on the result of Saturday's match.

Ibrahimovic and Beckham are good friends and former teammates but on Saturday the two global superstars will be rivals for at least 90 minutes.

With Ibrahimovic's Sweden set to take on Beckham's England in the World Cup quarterfinals, the current and former LA Galaxy stars have agreed upon a little friendly wager.

"Yo David Beckham," said the former Manchester United and PSG striker Ibrahimovic. "If England wins I buy you dinner wherever you want in the world, but if Sweden wins you buy me what ever I want from Ikea. OK?"

Beckham, also a former Manchester United and PSG star, responded: "If Sweden win, I will personally take you to Ikea and buy you whatever you need for the new mansion in LA.

"But when England win, I want you to come to watch an England game at Wembley, wearing an England shirt and enjoy fish and chips at half time."

Zlatan accepted the challenge tweeting, 'Lets Go'.

So, whether it is England or Sweden who win on Saturday, we certainly have a lot to look forward too.
