Speaking with DNA, Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil said, "The people who parked their vehicle in our area are threatening us to not complain to traffic police, or they will make the the situation worse for us. Most of the time big trucks park in front of the building to load and unload goods. We have complained about a thousand times to the traffic police but nothing has been done. I have missed important meetings have got late to work many times. We spend about 15 minutes for getting out of the area." Prince Goyal, secretary of Ahuja Co-operative Society said, "Narrow lanes have become narrower due to double and triple parking. It is sometimes impossible for a even a single car to pass. This creates traffic." The issue doesn't end here. Another resident said, "There are some miscreants who park the vehicle and consume alcohol while in the car at night."

Joint commissioner of traffic police Madhukar Pandey said, "In Mumbai, around 36 lakh vehicles run on the street, this includes 24 lakh cars and 12 lakhs bikes daily. However, these vehicles only run for about two-three hours and the rest of other eight-ten hours they are parked on roads or parking lots. Only 40,000 vehicles are parked in legal parking spaces. We are not aware of Prabhadevi area parking nuisance. We will take action for sure."
