Feathers don’t seem to be going out of fashion anytime soon. Blame it either on designers’ escapist mood or the overarching ‘more is more’ sentiment echoing on the moodboards, but they are here to stay. In Spring Summer 2019 collections too, designers used them generously as accents to enhance their offerings.

Celine by Hedi Slimane sent out an LBD with plume embellishing the shoulders, Alessandro Michele at Gucci teamed their sequinned dress with a quill stole and JW Anderson at Loewe, dyed them in Indian tricolour hues of saffron and green. Rochas feathered their yellow coat dress with lush feathers in the matching tone. It’s interesting how this Fall Winter 18 trend has been transported into Spring Summer 2019. It’ll be interesting to see how feather’s usage trickles down in the Indian resort wear.
