My FB admin posted the remark, says H Raja

BJP national secretary H Raja on Wednesday blamed his Facebook account administrator for the controversial post threatening to destroy EV Ramasamy Periyar's statue in Tamil Nadu, saying it was done without his knowledge when he was on a flight to Delhi for a party event. He told reporters in the national capital that he removed the post immediately after seeing it and also sacked the administrator, whom he did not name.

The FB remark, which came after Lenin's statue had been bulldozed in Tripura, had emboldened a BJP office-bearer to attack Periyar statue in Vellore on Tuesday night. The functionary was later expelled from the party
Raja's clarification over the "unacceptable" remark on Wednesday did nothing to stop a rash of protests — by Opposition DMK, Left parties, MDMK and others — from breaking out across the state where demonstrators burned his effigies and demanded that Raja be arrested.
