Gal Gadot is all set to be back as Wonder Woman and her alter ego Diana Prince in a third installment of the superhit superhero franchise, with Patty Jenkins returning to direct.

Wonder Woman 3 will conclude the superhero trilogy that started with the 2017 release Wonder Woman. Warner Bros. has fast-tracked production of a third film in the DC Comics franchise, variety.com reported, adding that Jenkins will write the final part of the trilogy besides directing it.

"As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of 'Wonder Woman 1984', we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real-life Wonder Women -- Gal and Patty -- who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy," said Warner Bros. chief Toby Emmerich, confirming "Wonder Woman 3", according to the Variety website.

The second film of the series, Wonder Woman 1984, was released on December 25 in theatres across several parts of the globe including India, besides on OTT. The third Wonder Woman film is being readied for a theatrical release, according to Warner Bros.

Last week, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan took to his Instagram handle to share a photo of his visit to a movie theatre as he watched superhero-film 'Wonder Woman 1984' featuring Gal Gadot in the lead role, with wife Sussanne Khan and kids Hrehaan and Hridaan Roshan, following the COVID-19 safety protocols.

The 'War' actor hopped on to Instagram to share a snap of himself watching the movie, sporting his favourite superhero mask of a similar theme.

Talking about the safe movie-watching experience, Roshan captioned the post as, "Home is where the heart is, My wonderland ." "#CinemasAreBack & so am I! Now watching #WonderWoman84 in my other super hero mask. Good job @INOXmovies n Rajendar for empowering us with a safe movie watching experience." "This was sooo much fun ! Nothing and I mean NOTHING comes close to the real experience of watching a movie on the big screen ! The sound , the projection , the safety precautions taken by the cinema was all OUTSTANDING ! well done to the INOX team !", added Roshan.
