Mohanlal leaves fans excited as he announces the release date of his much-awaited film Malaikottai Vaaliban.
South star Mohanlal shared a much-awaited update on his upcoming movie Malaikottai Vaaliban and while sharing a new intriguing poster from the movie, the actor announced its release date leaving fans excited.
On Monday, Mohanlal took to his Instagram and shared the new poster of his upcoming movie Malaikottai Vaaliban and announced the film’s release date. The actor wrote, “The countdown has begun! Vaaliban is arriving in theatres worldwide on 25th January 2024!”
The film marks the first-ever collaboration between filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery who is known for his exceptional filmmaking skills and Mohanlal. Written by PS Rafeeque, the film features Mohanlal in the role of a wrestler from the pre-Independence era, promising a compelling and unique narrative.
Fans expressed their excitement for the movie and flooded the actor’s comment section. One of the comments read, “The king is coming.” Another wrote, “the grand celebration begins.” Another commented, “he is coming to conquer his throne.” Another wrote, “get ready kids the game is about to start.”
Talking about the film, Mohanlal said in an interview with ManoramaNews.com last month, “It caters to both mass cinema enthusiasts and those seeking a more serious, spiritual cinematic experience. It encompasses a philosophy too.”
He further added, “The final verdict lies with audiences. Its music, colour patterns, situations, and actions will be entirely novel to the Malayalam film industry.”
The film’s shooting spanned 130 days, covering multiple locales in Rajasthan, Chennai, and Puducherry (Pondicherry). Malaikottai Vaaliban is Lijo Jose Pellissery’s biggest project to date which is set to release next year on January 25.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal who recently impressed the audience with his performance in Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer, also has Ekta Kapoor’s first Pan India movie Vrushabha in the pipeline. The movie will be helmed by Nanda Kishore. Announcing the same, Ekta wrote, “Posing with d legend n the genius !!!! JAI MATA DI so excited to b working with the actor par excellence @ Mohanlal.
