Samir Mehta is an Indian billionaire businessman who runs a multinational pharmaceutical company called Torrent Pharmaceuticals. He is the chairman of the company, which is a part of Torrent Group managed by him and his brother Sudhir Mehta. He holds a master's degree from the BK School of Business Management.

Torrent Pharma was founded by his late father Uttambhai Nathalal Mehta, who was a salesman for Swiss pharma giant Sandoz. The company has a market capitalisation of Rs 63,357 core as of September 15, 2023. The per piece price of the company was Rs 1,865.35 on September 15 on NSE.

He also has a stake in Torrent Power, which provides electricity to more than 38 lakh customers in Gujarat and two other states. It is overseen by his older sibling Sudhir's son Jinal. Samir's sons Aman and Shaan also work in the pharma business.
