Shahid Kapoor spoke about Mira Rajput, gave a golden advice to Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas and reminiscised an instance when daughter Misha failed to recognize him
Shahid Kapoor took the nation by surprise when he settled for arranged marriage with Mira Rajput. She is 14 years younger that Shahid, and the couple, married since four years, is blessed with two kids - daughter Misha and son Zain Kapoor.
Talking about Mira on Neha Dhupia's audio show No Filter Neha, Shahid Kapoor said, "Mira is always able to give me another perspective and when I look back after coming out of a situation, I feel very glad that she said what she said to me. I always pull the experience card on her which she hates."
"We have very strong and different point of views. For the kind of person I am, I am very happy that I have somebody like that. Although on a daily basis it might be difficult to deal with but when I look at the bigger picture, I know she is really good for me. And I am guessing I am also good for her. We always tend to tell each other the part that we are not seeing ourselves," he added.
While Misha is already three-year-old, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput had to take care of Zain, who is just a year old. In the same interview, Shahid said that while the couple was still learning parenthood during Misha's birth, right now 80% goes on auto-pilot mode. He added that being around the children is like a fuel which keeps him, sleep-deprived person, going in life.
Shahid also narrated an incident when Misha failed to recognize him withouut a beard. He said that it was after he went clean-shaven. Misha had seen her father in the beard look due to Kabir Singh, and started crying when she saw the clean-shaven man. Shahid also realized the reason for her tears much later.
Further when Neha asked one advice Shahid would like to give Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, the actor stated words of gold. “Understand each other’s backgrounds as well as you can, because you’re from very different backgrounds,” he said.
