The teaser of Vikas Bahl’s upcoming film Ganapath was unveiled on Friday. The film stars Tiger Shroff in the titular role, alongside Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles. Ganapath is a science-fiction action drama set in 2070 with Tiger Shroff playing a messiah-like figure sent to save the suffering masses in a dystopian society. The actor's high-flying action sequences, Kriti Sanon's badass avatar, and the film's VFX have already impressed fans.

The teaser opens with a back shot of a shirtless Tiger Shroff aka Ganapath meditating in a dark room. The text on the screen informs the audience that the year is 2070, almost half a century into the future. We get glimpses of a futuristic megapolis with skyscrapers before getting a reality check that this is a dystopian future of a ‘world without hope’ where the poorest are living in a military regime. Amitabh Bachchan’s voice over then says that this battle should not begin till ‘our warrior’ arrives. We then see Tiger fight off dozens of armed assailants single-handed, followed by more action shots of the star. Kriti Sanon is introduced in an uncharacteristic action avatar, kicking bums as well.

Fans have praised the visual effects of the film, calling them refreshingly good and also praised Tiger’s action scenes and Kriti’s new fiery avatar. One ommented, “3 things is pure Goosebumps in teaser: Tiger shroff action, VFX work, Dystopian concept.” Fans have predicted that the film will transform the career trajectory of Tiger. One wrote, “This movie will be the turning point of Tiger Shroff's life....Mark my words!” There was quite some praise for the visual effets as well. One comment read, “I am surprised by how good the VFX looks.”

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Vikas Bahl. The film is set for a worldwide release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada on October 20 ahead of Dussehra.
