Addressing the BJP's women cadre on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the party workers to deal with people's issues with extreme sensitivity.

PM Modi said that BJP rose as the party that has been fighting for the right of the layman.

Stressing on 'Mera booth Sabse Mazboot', he urged the party workers to reach out to every household and understand their problems. Modi was addressing the valedictory session of the three-day national convention of BJP's Mahila Morcha.

The session was held on Trimandir campus near Gandhinagar. PM Modi was invited at the event to encourage the BJP women cadres who gathered there from across 700 districts of the country to fight for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The PM likened this convention as the Mahakumbh of Indian women's power.

"BJP is not the party which work to win polls, but we work with sensitivity towards people's issue with a deep affection for them. Leaders of our party, since three to four generations, even when I was not in politics, were fighting against the system for the right of common people of the nation." PM said.

"Jansangh and BJP's genesis was because of this sorts of agitations. Our women cadre of that age ran agitations and were jailed for months for the cause of the people. They were coming from the poor background and would approach every household in their area to understand the pain of people," the PM added.

Citing this example, PM directed the women cadre to reach out to all families in their territory. He also said the women cadres, that not a single person in there should be unknown for them and vice versa.

The PM gave another mantra to women cadres here, of 'Catch them young', directing them to reach out to young ladies studying in colleges and universities who are the first time voters for 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

PM Modi said the young generation has power to change the society and the women cadres should meet young ladies studying in colleges and universities in their territory.

"I have observed that young girls have triumphed in all the territories and they have the power to bring about a change. I wish that you should meet them, talk to them and discuss the various issue. Try to understand their feelings because they are the one who is committed to making India strong," PM Modi added.
