2. IPL 2020 may get 'truncated' if held, says BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly
Since the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, a lot of talks have been going around.
The BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on Saturday chaired the IPL Governing Council meeting and said that the upcoming edition will be cut short if it happens, PTI reported.
3. Coronavirus impact: 'All footballing activities suspended till March 31,' says AIFF
With all sporting activities getting affected due to the coronavirus outbreak, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has suspended all the major footballing tournaments at all levels till March 31.
The AIFF in a statement said: “Adhering to the advisories issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and directives from several State Governments, all footballing activities under the aegis of AIFF stay suspended till March 31, 2020.”
India had an unforgettable outing during their tour to New Zealand. Baring the T20I series, India were whitewashed in the ODI and Test series.
KL Rahul was chosen as the wicketkeeper for the T20I and ODI series in place of Rishabh Pant. However, during the Test series, Pant was taken ahead of Wriddhiman Saha.
