Priyanka Chopra to turn cop for Prakash Jha's 'Gangaajal 2'

Priyanka Chopra is known for her diverse roles and the variety that she brings on the table. After playing the role of an athlete, Priyanka is all set to take up new roles that attract her. And we hear, she's already been signed on for Prakash Jha's Gangaajal 2.

PeeCee will have a busy year ahead with many films releasing in quick succession- Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani and Madhur Bhandarkar's Madamji. And now with Gangaajal 2 in the pipeline, the stage is set for PC to turn a cop.

Gangaajal had Ajay Devgn playing the role of the lead protagonist, a tough cop who fought against corruption. The sequel will also be based on similar lines, given Jha's liking towards socio-political themes but will have a female protagonist instead. 

Seems playing an eye candy is not what Piggy Chops is looking forward to. Rather, she's veering towards meaty strong women characters in films. Will she be able to pull off a tough cop role? Let's see!
