IPL 2021: After KKR's Shah Rukh Khan, Delhi Capitals' Parth Jindal reacts to his team's loss to RR

After Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan apologised to the fans of the team's humiliating loss, it was Delhi Capitals (DC) owner Parth Jindal's turn to talk about his side's performance.

In a cliffhanger of a contest, Rajasthan Royals (RR) managed to beat Delhi with 3 wickets to spare. The Royals too were tottering at 52/5 at the end of the 10 over mark but David Miller and Chris Morris stood up making sure their side gets the desired win.

While Miller scored a scintillating 43-ball 62, Chris Morris applied the finishing touches with his unbeaten 36 at a strike rate of 200. On the bowling front, Jaydev Unadkat scalped 3 wickets in the 4 overs that he bowled and gave away just 15 runs as well.

For Delhi, skipper Rishabh Pant had sent the Rajasthan bowlers on a leather hunt and scored a brisk 51 at a strike rate of 159.38. However, it was not enough to stop Sanju Samson's 'Men in Pink'.

Jindal opened up on the match and stated that it was difficult for him to digest the loss after a good fightback from the lower order. He added that the Delhi outfit will learn from this loss and he even lauded the Delhi Capitals for a good game of cricket. 

He wrote on Twitter, "Very difficult to digest this loss after a very good fight by the lower order and the bowlers - we will learn from this and come back a better and smarter unit - well-played @DelhiCapitals - good fight back - let’s bounce back on Sunday - congratulations to @rajasthanroyals".

As far as IPL is concerned, DC had started their campaign on a winning note against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The Rishabh Pant-led outfit will next face Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April  18, 2021. Currently, Delhi Capitals occupy the 4th spot in the points table with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) leading with two back-to-back wins.
