World’s richest billionaire ties up with Mukesh Ambani to bring Rs 6.9 lakh crore brand to Reliance luxury mall

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani is all set to launch his mega mall in Mumbai soon, and luxury brands and apparel companies are already lining up to take up his stores on rent. One of the people who have secured his space in the Reliance luxury mall is world’s richest man Bernard Arnault.

Bernard Arnault is the head of the luxury apparel company LVMH, which is most known for its clothing and accessories brand Louis Vuitton. Forbes released its 37th edition of the world’s richest people on Thursday, naming Bernand Arnault at the top of the list.

Mukesh Ambani, meanwhile, remains the only Indian in the top 10 of the Forbes list of richest billionaires, landing on the 9th spot with a net worth of USD 83.4 billion, which comes out to Rs 6.94 lakh crores in Indian currency.

Now, Mukesh Ambani is set to expand his wealth with his new mega-mall project Jio World Plaza, which will have international luxury brands like Dior and Gucci open their stores in Mumbai’s posh Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area.

One of the first brands to rent out a shop in Reliance’s Jio World Centre is Louis Vuitton, the luxury clothing brand owned by the world’s richest man Bernard Arnault. It was reported that LVMH will be paying over Rs 40 lakh per month rent for a store in Mukesh Ambani’s new mall.

Louis Vuitton currently has multiple stores across India, but through Mukesh Ambani’s Jio World Plaza store, Bernard Arnault will be able to expand his retail market in India. Currently, Bernard Arnault’s LVMH has net revenue of over Rs 6.9 lakh crore.

Louis Vuitton head Bernard Arnault ranked number 1 on the World’s Richest Billionaire list released by Forbes with a massive net worth of USD 211 billion, which comes out to over Rs 17.66 lakh crore in Indian currency.
