The A-rating of OMG 2 has affected one of the co-stars of the film, as he won't be able to watch the movie. Know more about it.
Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam-starrer social drama OMG 2 have been released with positive responses from the masses and the critics, but one of the actors in the film won't be able to watch the film. OMG 2 has been rated Adults Only (A), and as ETimes reported, the first victim of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ruling is none other than 16-year-old actor Arush.
In the movie, Arush plays the teenage son of Pankaj Tripathi and he has been barred to watch the film, as technically he is underage. The portal quoted a source closely related to the budding artist that confirmed, "We are all going to watch Arush's film but he will not be able to watch as he is a 16-year-old." The source further said that the Indian Censor Board has 'deprived the target audience of the film'.
Earlier, Pankaj Tripathi expressed his disappointment about the CBFC rating. In a recent interaction, Pankaj said, "When we got an A certificate, we got surprised. This is because while making a film, hume pata chal jaata hai ki A certificate milega ya nahi, like Gangs Of Wasseypur. When we were making it, we knew that it will get an Adults Only certificate. However, when we were making OMG 2, we didn't think that it will get such a rating." Sharing his disappointment further he said, "Iss film ko A milna, surprise tha humare liye. Thoda malaal hua ki jis age-group ko yeh film dekhni chaiye, 12-17 saal ke, woh nahi dekh payenge (For me it was a surprise. I was a bit disappointed, as the target age group of 12-17 years old won't be able to see the film)."
OMG 2 is the spiritual successor to the 2012 Oh My God. The movie is facing strong competition from Sunny Deol's actioner Gadar 2.
