Kalpana Dutta who had used all her lifelines failed to answer the 13th question asked by Amitabh Bachchan in 'KBC 13'.
Today’s episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’ started with the roll-over contestant from Maharastra, Kalpana Dutta. On Wednesday’s episode, Amitabh Bachchan gave roses to ladies in the audience in a tribute to women. One of those women was Kalpana who said that she got the chance to be on the hot seat because of the rose, which acted as her good luck charm.
Kalpana is a Tamilian married to a Bengali and can speak 7-8 Indian languages. She revealed that she met her husband at the University of Mumbai, where she was a junior researcher while her husband was pursuing a Ph.D. They met at a lab and fell in love with each other.
In the introductory video about Kalpana, her husband said that she became so obese at one point that she could not even pick up her laptop bag. After she realised the importance of health, Kalpana started to work out and even exercises with dumbbells now. She said her mantra in life is ‘health is wealth’.
The homemaker swiftly answered the questions and also explained to them while answering, something which was appreciated by Big B. Kalpana answered the 12th question and won Rs 12.5 lakhs. She was then presented with the question for Rs 25 lakhs, which was:

The correct answer us B) Estonia. Kalpana, who had used all her lifelines by now was unsure about the answer and decided to quit. She took home Rs 12.5 lakhs.
During the show, she told Bachchan that she learned singing from her Guru, who she met on the local trains of Mumbai. Kalpana said that her Guru has trained thousands of people on the Mumbai locals and her name was even mentioned in the Limca Book of Records.
Meanwhile, Friday’s episode of ‘KBC 13’ will be graced by actor Deepika Padukone and filmmaker Farah Khan.
