Elon Musk introduces his new favourite currency, netizens go crazy

SpaceX and Tesla owner Elon Musk tweets might just tweet a full stop and it will go viral. Fans will look into it and try to find a cryptic message that associates with it. Well, can you blame them? Musk is an influential man and recently his tweets have played a major role in the cryptocurrency market. 

He recently tweeted, "Time is the ultimate currency" which forced netizens to scratch their heads in order to understand the meaning of the tweet. Musk's tweet has been retweeted by more than 61,000 people and counting and has garnered over 3.7 lakh likes.

The last time Musk tweeted regarding the cryptocurrency 'Dogecoin' that in reality started out as a joke but it witnessed a rise of 11,000% in the market making everyone invest in it.

Many entrepreneurs and businessmen were seen commenting on it including Kunal Shah, founder of CRED, who said, "Entropy is the only truth." Not only this but many also connected the tweet to a 2011 sci-fi film, 'In Time', starring Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake. The film used time as a currency.

Elon Musk's tweets have always been an influence on people who invest in the market and people do not take it as a joke. Musk once tweeted about accepting Bitcoin in exchange of Tesla and the price of the cryptocurrency skyrocketed within no time. 

His current counterparts are Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Galactic.
