Commuters on board a Churchgate-bound local, on Sunday, were rattled as the semi-fast train sped past a designated halt at Jogeshwari station.
"It was a semi-fast train from Borivli that was to halt at all stations till Andheri. But, the motorman forgot to halt," said a WR official.
The incident took place at around 8.05 am, and left commuters, who were to alight at Jogeshwari, fuming. This briefly affected train services, as the railways were running the Sunday timetable, when 30 percent lesser services are operated.
"We have suspended the motorman with immediate effect," said Ravindra Bhakar, Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway.
