In yet another horrific sexual assault case in Madhya Pradesh, a 12-year-girl was seen wandering the streets seriously injured, bleeding and wearing tattered clothes after she was brutally sexually assaulted, asking bystanders and people in the streets for help.

A video of the minor girl asking people for help after being raped is now doing rounds on social media, with people standing nearby shooing her away. The horrific rape case took place near Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain, where the girl was sexually assaulted and then dumped near the city’s Dandi Ashram.

The visuals of the incident were caught on CCTV camera, and the girl was seen stumbling on the street covered in blood wearing torn clothes that barely covered her. She was walking in a residential area asking people for help, and a man was seen shooing her away.

The girl was eventually spotted by the staff of a nearby temple and the priest suspected that she had been raped. Covering her with a towel, the priest rushed her to the nearby hospital. However, the victim’s injuries were severe so she had to be transferred to Indore.

The girl, found here on September 25, probably hails from neighboring Uttar Pradesh, but her identity is yet to be established as she is not able to tell her name and address to the police properly, an official said.

"A girl, aged around 12 years, was found bleeding on a street located under the Mahakal police station area in Ujjain on Monday. She was taken to a hospital, where her initial medical examination confirmed that she had been raped," Superintendent of Police (SP) Sachin Sharma said.

"The girl is possibly a resident of Uttar Pradesh. She neither possesses any identity card, nor is she able to tell her name and address to the police properly," he said. An SIT probe has been ordered in the case, and Madhya Pradesh government has demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family of the girl.
