Maoists shot dead a 22 year-old youth in Garhwa after kidnapping him for his alleged involvement in an illicit relationship with a married woman, police said today.
The youth and his cousin were abducted by the Maoists on March 6 from Chatia-Madgarhia. The cousin managed to escape, while the Maoists shot dead the youth the next day.
The body was found yesterday, the police said.
A note left by the Maoists claimed that the youth was killed as he allegedly had an illicit relationship with a married woman of that village, the police added.
