Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that he has asked state authorities to withdraw the ban on hijab in the educational institutions of the state. "I have told to withdraw the hijab ban, he tweeted on Friday. He also accused the BJP of dividing people and dividing society on the basis of clothes, dress and caste. Speaking at an event, he said, “We will be withdrawing the ban on hijab which was imposed by the previous BJP government. An official order will come soon regarding it.”
