Kirsten Dunst is set to return to the witness stand next week when the court tries a man accused of stealing the actresses' purse.

The Spider-Man actress testified against James Jimenez in 2009 after he is said to have stolen her designer bag during a 2007 break-in at the SoHo Grand Hotel in Manhattan.

Although Jimenez was convicted on a misdemeanour count of criminal trespass last October, members of the jury couldn't reach a verdict on charges of felony burglary.

According to the New York Post, Jimenez appeared before Manhattan Supreme Court on May 20 but refused to take a plea deal, which prompted the judge to set a retrial for May 24, reports the Daily Star.

Dunst is expected to be called in for the retrial.
