Meet US man in love with India who runs Rs 110 crore per year biz in Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad

Bert Mueller runs the Mexican restaurant chain, California Burrito. He is an American but runs his business in India. He owns 50 restaurants in Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai. He had been exposed to Indian cuisines and tastes for all his life. However, his academic stint in Jaipur in 2010 changed his direction in life. 

He came to Jaipur to study. However, he learnt so much about India's culinary culture. He also thought that there was so much common between Mexican and Indian palettes.

He also found out that most parts of India didn't have Mexican restaurants.

He first acquired business education in India. His first restaurant was California Burrito in 2012 in Bengaluru. His first venture included investments from his friend and the supervision of a San Francisco-based chef.

Last year, the revenue of his company was Rs 110 crore.
