Wipro, a Mumbai-based Indian IT service company, has announced that Aparna C Iyer will succeed Jatin Pravinchandra Dalal as CFO and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Thierry Delaporte. She had been with Wipro for over 21 years, resigned from his position on September 21 and will resume her role today. 

Aparna Iyer, a 20-year Wipro veteran as well, has worked for the organization since 2003 in a variety of top roles. She started working with Wipro in 2003 as a senior internal auditor.

Iyer steadily ascended the corporate ladder over the course of more than 20 years, holding crucial leadership roles inside the company. She most recently served as the cloud services unit of Wipro's senior vice president and CGO.

She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and has achieved a gold medal in the CA 2022 batch. Before joining the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), she completed her bachelor’s degree in commerce from Narsee Monjee, Mumbai in 2001. 

Throughout her career, she has served in various finance roles at Wipro, including responsibilities in Internal Audit, Business Finance, Finance Planning and Analysis, Corporate Treasury, and Investor Relations.

“I am thrilled to take on the role of CFO at this important juncture for Wipro,” said Aparna Iyer after her appointment as Wipro's CFO. “As we continue our transformation journey, I look forward to working with Thierry, our finance team and the entire organisation to build on our successes, drive sustainable growth, and create value for our stakeholders,” she said. 

Wipro was founded by Azim Premji in 1945. He is one of India's greatest entrepreneurs and philanthropists. He has a net worth of $11.5B. Wipro is an Indian multinational company that deals in information technology (IT), consulting and business process services. The market of this giant firm as per MoneyContrl is Rs 218,790 crore.
