Sameer Wankhede led the probe against Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan when he was arrested in a drugs case in 2021 and was later cleared of all the charges.
As Jawan trailer was finally released on Thursday, August 31, exactly a week before the film's release on September 7, one of the lines from the film's trailer caught the attention of the fans and went viral in no time. "Bete ko haath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar (before you mess with my son, talk to his father)", says Shah Rukh Khan's character in the final few seconds of the trailer.
When this line appears in the trailer, the producer credit of Gauri Khan flashes on the screen. Fans have deduced that Shah Rukh Khan has blurred the line between the real and reel life and this is his direct message to the people, who troubled his son Aryan Khan in 2021 when Aryan was locked up in the jail for almost a month.
Aryan was caught by the Narcotics Control Bureau after a drug raid on a cruise and after spending nearly four weeks inside the jail, he was granted bail. Eight months later, Aryan was given a clean chit in the case. Sameer Wankhede led the investigation against Aryan and was later, booked by the CBI for allegedly demanding Rs 25 crore as a bribe for not framing Shah Rukh's son in the case.
Now, after the line from Jawan trended across social media yesterday, Sameer Wankhede also took to his Twitter and shared a cryptic post, which netizens are assuming is his message to the SRK's fans. "I have licked the fire and danced in the ashes of every bridge I ever burned. I fear no hell from you. - Nicole Lyons. A quote that always inspires me!", he wrote.
Responding to him, one SRK fan wrote, "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel - Samuel Johnson. A quote that quintessentially defines you moron!!", while another added, "You have licked feet & danced in front of celebrities to extort money from them."
Talking about Jawan, the actioner marks director Atlee and actress Nayanthara's debuts in Bollywood. Vijay Sethupathi plays the main antagonist and Deepika Padukone will be seen in a special appearance in the film.
