Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao to work together for the first time in the movie adaptation of book 'The White Tiger'

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is on a movie signing spree. The actor is currently gearing up for the release of her Bollywood film The Sky is Pink in which she is starring alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. Priyanka also has an Indo-Hollywood film based on the subject of Big Fat Indian Wedding wherein she will be seen with Mindy Kaling. Moreover, she has also started filming for her upcoming Netflix original film titled We Can Be Heroes.

Now Priyanka has signed another Netflix film in which she is paired opposite none other than Rajkummar Rao. Yes, the talented actors will be sharing screen space for the first time in the movie adaptation of Arvind Adiga's bestselling novel The White Tiger. The film will be directed by Ramin Bahrani and produced by Priyanka and Mukul Deora.

Talking about the project, Priyanka shared, "I’m so excited to work with Ramin Bahrani and Netflix to bring Aravind Adiga’s poignant story to cinematic life. When I read the book, I was fascinated with the perspective of the narrative. The story’s portrayal of raw ambition and the extent one will go to achieve one’s goals is riveting. I look forward to filming this in India this fall and also working along with Rajkummar Rao for the first time and the wonderful cast Ramin is putting together."

While Rajkummar went on to say, "It’s an exciting time for actors today and I’m thrilled to be a part of such a world-class project. I’ve been an admirer of Ramin’s work and am excited to see The White Tiger come to life with Netflix!"

The White Tiger will go on floors in the month of October this year in India.
