Laal Singh Chaddha's music is considered among the finest works of music director Pritam and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles, Laal Singh Chaddha was released in the theaters on August 11 last year. Though the film failed at the box office and received negative word-of-mouth due to the #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha trend before its release, the Advait Chandan directorial found its audience on its OTT release on Netflix later.
There were many tweets seen on the micro-blogging platform X (previously known as Twitter) in which people appreciated Laal Singh Chaddha and shared their regret of not watching the film in the theatres. The film's music, composed by Pritam and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, still rules the streaming charts even a year after its release.
Aamir Khan recently organised a reunion for the cast and crew of Laal Singh Chaddha after it completed an year of its release. In the videos, which are now going viral across the internet, the superstar is seen singing two songs from the album on the stage. In the first clip, Aamir can be seen joining Shilpa Rao and Amitabh for Tere Hawaale and in the second clip, he can be seen crooning Kahani with Amitabh.
Apart from Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Manav Vij were seen in pivotal roles in the Laal Singh Chaddha. Nagarjuna's son and actor Naga Chaitanya, who has starred in successful Telugu films such as Manam and Ye Maaya Chesave, made his Bollywood debut with the film.
Laal Singh Chaddha is an official Hindi remake of the 1994 Hollywood classic Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright in the lead roles. The Robert Zemeckis directorial won six Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, and Best Film Editing.
