Athavale requested the chief minister to start the actual work of the proposed memorial before April 14.

Come April 14, the birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, and the Maharashtra government will begin construction work for the proposed memorial at Indu Mill land in Dadar.
Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athavale on Wednesday met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Vidhan Bhavan. Athavale requested the chief minister to start the actual work of the proposed memorial before April 14.
Athavale said Fadnavis told him that there was no hurdle whatsoever for starting the work on the memorial at Indu Mill. The CM also told Athavale that demolition work was going on at this place and necessary permissions from all the concerned departments have been availed. The Chief Minister made it clear that after receiving one letter from BMC the actual work for the memorial will be started at the land in Dadar.
