In a unique method to address the issues faced by Bandra, Khar and Santacruz residents, ALM 144 in Bandra (W) has started registering public grievances at KFC junction on Linking Road.
As a part of the registration process for the initiative which started on March 21, one volunteer at the junction notes down all the civic complaints that residents face in their locality. The ALM volunteers will accept complaints for a month and then compile them so that it is sent to the assistant municipal commissioner of H/W ward for further progress.
Speaking with iamin, Aftab Siddiqui, ALM 144 president said that this method of compiling public grievances will help in showing the civic body what are the issues and how many issues are left unresolved. "It's high time that the BMC’s H/W ward officers are shown how individual complaints are not taken seriously. This will help them identify the major issues that need immediate attention,” added Siddiqui.
