It is worth mentioning that Chief of staff of the US Air Force, General David L Goldfein came to Jodhpur on Friday with the delegation.

General David L Goldfein, Chief of Staff of US Air Force flew in India’s indigenous light combat aircraft, the Tejas, this morning, in a special flight that took off from the Jodhpur Air Force Station.
He described Tejas as a powerful and best fighter aircraft. Goldfein has tried to send a message to Pakistan in a way by flying in Tejas near the western border near Pakistan, that India’s air force is strong.
Goldfein was influenced by the passion and elevated courage of the Air Force pilots stationed on the Jodhpur airbase. Goldfein flew Tejas with enthusiasm.
This thing was easily be judged by joy on his face. He followed all the rules of the Indian Air Force and boarded the Tejas after meeting with Air Force officials.
It is noteworthy that in November 2017, Singapore’s Defense Minister flew in Tejas on the Kalaikunda Airbus.
But, Goldfein is the first foreign air force chief to fly Tejas.
Tejas is a fighter aircraft developed by India. It is developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It was incorporated in the Air Force on July 1, 2016. Tejas length is 13.2 meters and weighing about 5680 kg. It can fly up to 50 thousand feet at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour. Tejas is also capable of attacking laser-guided bombs. Its Squadron is now in Bengaluru.
The process of replacing Tejas in place of MiG-27 is going to begin.

He took information about the functioning of Air Force Station and after observing fighter planes, he also talked with pilots.
During his visit, Goldfein also learned observed war skills and took information from fighter aircraft to west region.
He also visited the Mehrangarh and Umaid Bhawan Palace of Jodhpur and was overwhelmed by seeing these places.
After flying Tejas, Goldfein bid adieu to the officials and left for Agra.
